  1. Yaaahh. What province?

  2. yes, just as safe as most places that i`ve travelled to, just go there and enjoy

  3. yep. i just went there myself 3 weeks ago. do be careful of your diet though. foreigners may not be able to take some of the food. don't dine at side-street stalls. and do take care of your belongings at all times. but it's still safe. i mean, it's inevitable to have a few minor unfortunate things happen in a country with so many people.

try to dine at more reowned restaurants and hotels. that's what i did. and they aren't very expensive also (: oh, bringing a sling bag to keep all your belongings is a good idea. and put the bag in front. less chance of getting pickpocketed and robbed.

have a safe and good trip! (:

  4. Just treat it with caution

  5. quite safe. especially Beijing and Shanghai.

Be cautious to thieves on the bus or subway.

    not much to worry.

  6. It depends on how and where you travel. Tourists get robbed or killed everywhere, including the US, Europe, and of course China.

I would say it's safer to travel to China than to Mexico, and less safer than to Canada.

If you just do what average tourists do, and keep low profile, it's very safe to travel in China. Hiking by yourself in mountains or counting a big pile of cash in public may have bad consequences.

  7. yes

  8. It's safe. I went there a few months ago. If you stick to the main cities, your biggest danger will just be getting ripped off or getting sick from eating street food. Make sure you get a hep A vaccine.

If you go into rural areas, you should also take precautions against malaria. (but I doubt you will, it's very uncommon)

Don't let that olympic attack scare you, it's very safe for foreigners there. If you leave the heavy tourist areas, the worst that will happen is that people will stare are you (especially if you're large or blonde).

  9. it's safe but watch out for people who try to steal your wallet or passport.

  10. Absolutely. Like everyone else has said, just be safe. Don't drink the tap water since your body isn't used to it, or you might get sick like a friend of mine did when we went (so stick with bottled water). Don't buy food off the street either. If you're with a group, probably best if you all stick together, especially once you head outside major cities. Other than that, watch for pickpockets, beggars, and con artists (stuff you'll face in any city in the world) and know how to haggle/barter otherwise you'll end up getting ripped off.

I strongly encourage you to visit China, it's an amazing place! So much history and tradition, especially in Beijing. Lots of eye-opening experiences. Also try to visit Tibet if you can.

  11. Yes it is. Watch out for your wallet * people distract you and others take it so annoying* but also make sure you do not eat anything you think is bad. Like scorpion or centipeed or dog.
