  1. .....yes it is safe here....its the main misconception of many that Saudi Arabia is not a safe place to live and to work. Its because of the 9/11 issue, terrorists, etc. Though those people involved there are Saudis, it doesn't mean that everybody are also the same. Its not even 1% of the total population of Saudi who engaged in terrorism.....

  2. if your dad jog during the summer at noon at jeddah or riyadh he might suffer from heat stroke and serious dyhydration. temp reaches here something like 120 F easily.

other than this, mmmmm, he should be safe

  3. yes its safe and it always has been...

There is statistically more things that would happen to someone on a street in USA than here in SaudiArabia..

Crime is extremely low here.. No terrorist attacks happening, no war going on.

We dont have drugs and alcohol problems. So no drug/gang related problems or drive by shootings..

The only thing that will bother your Dad is the extreme heat.

    he will be just fine...

  4. yes, it is safe.

  5. yea its safe ... There is no drugs, alcohol, gangs .... there is ofcource but not alot maybe 0.01 percent .... but take care its a safe coutry but hot as h**l.

  6. if your dad is already over in saudi working, shouldn't he already have an idea about how things are here?

anyway, yes it's quite safe to travel, visit or live in saudi arabia...there are many non saudis and non muslims working in many saudi cities...americans as well....

crime rate is very low in comparison with the states(we have no gangs, no serial killers, no armed robberies, no serial rapists)...

you're from florida so you might be already used to the humidity and hot weather depending on which floridian city you're in...but it's a bit more harsh here in saudi...it's very hot in summer especially in the central and eastern provinces...humidity is too high in the west coast...winter is pleasent (more like spring in the states) in the western region, gets quite colder in the central and eastern area...rarely do we get frost, no snow (rare cases occurred in the past couple of year in the far northers and southersn parts)...no hurricanes and severe thunderstorms...occassional sand storms in the east or central regions....no volcanos, no earthquicks, no forest fires (we simply don't have forests)...

driving might be the greatest danger we have in major cities, accidents are at a high rate...crazy drivers almost in every major city, messed up roads in some cities...

so if you got weather and driving covered...you're pretty much good to go...
