Is it safe to use Clorox bleach pen in shower while pregnant?

I have some mold in the bottom part of my shower that I have not been able to remove with natural cleaners. I gave up and had my husband put some of that Clorox bleach pen along the bottom, let it sit awhile. Its seem to have no odor but I don't know if it could be giving off any fumes and I can't smell them? anyone know if its ok to use during pregnancy?

My husband is using it not me but I am still going in and out of the bathroom while its in there on the shower. Again there is no smell.

Also does anyone know if the bleach or any other chemical in the pen will react to baking soda or borax. since I am using natural cleaners for a scouring powder i use a mixture of baking soda and borax and I am worried about it reacting when he uses that to scrub it off?

  1. bleach and ammonia is DEADLY,DONT MIX THOSE.Sorry for the cps Felt like I should say that loud.but the bleach pen is fine. Also I wouldnt mix it with anything else but the baking soda.

  2. I do not think so but I think that for a precise explanation that you should post the questions to yahoo chemists.

  3. 1.  There is so little bleach in the pen that it will probably not remove the mold .  Let him use regular bleach to scrub it away, then rinse well.

    2.  If you stay out of the bathroom while he is doing this you and the baby will be fine.

    3.  There will be no reaction with your borax and or baking soda products.  In fact, I mix bleach and baking soda to boost the whitening power of the bleach to clean my son's baseball uniform.

    4.  Congrats and best wishes!
