Is it safe to use a laptop around steel? ?

i repair equipt. in kitchens and dont know if its hazard to my laptop? Usually the kitchens have nothing but steel tables to set it on because of health and safety regulations.

There shouldn't be any difference what surface you place a laptop on, as long as it doesn't fall off or get wet.

yeh, steel shouldnt affect it, magnets and moisture, and shocks, like falling and all, are the things that can hurt it.
