I have plantar's warts on my feet and (obviously) want them gone. Is it safe to soak cotton balls in apple cider vinegar and leave on the warts? I'm pregnant and don't want to hurt the baby...

  1. Do not take any "supplements" internally while you are pregnant, whether it is Grapefruit Seed Extract or other stuff. Some websites say it is safe. The truth is: there hasn't been enough research done yet.

Externally, do not touch or be around any essential oils while you're pregnant.

Apple cider vinegar is quite OK. You can also cover the wart with clear nail varnish or clear 3M glue. Remove the layer and repeat at least twice a day as that layer will eventually crack with movement of your foot.

The trick is to prevent air from reaching the wart as the virus which causes it needs air to survive. In 3 or 4 weeks it will be gone.

All the best to you and your baby!

  2. yes apple cider vinegar will not hurt the baby but only use raw apple cider vinegar for ingestion or to put on one's body..use a brand from health food store or section of supermarket..the usual ones are braggs and spectrum

I got rid of wart's on a former bf's finger using a bandage or cotton ball held on with surgical tape soaked with myrrh essential oil and lemon essential oil ..use a natural and not synthetic essential oil like aura cacia

however, do not use this one until after you have the baby as further research by me turned up that myrrh is a  uterine stimulant and NOT good to use when pregnant

since warts are viral, try any of these things that kills viruses

    1. olive leaf extract organic tincture take 60 drops 3-5 times a day by mouth and apply ..a message board had controversy some said safe and some said not safe during pregnancy so research further

    2. grapefruit seed extract (according to label directions) internal and external

these sites say it is safe to use when pregnant

3 raw garlic safe take about 1-4 cloves a day.  Also apply garlic oil or a garlic tea soaked cloth or fresh garlic cut clove (if it does not burn) to the warts externally.

  3. Ask your doctor.  Plantar warts (unlike common warts) are incredibly stubborn, and usually require removal by a physician.

Natural remedies include apple juice, cabbage juice, fig juice, fresh pineapple juice, and watercress juice, but all are supposed to be applied to a pared wart.

  4. I have read that using apple cider vinegar can get rid of warts.  I use ACV every day for general health and digestion and if you go to amazon.com you can find many good books on ACV remedies.  I do have another option that I'd like to share as an alternative health contributor:

While I am not a doctor and cannot prescribe or diagnose, I can share a story.  My grandson (7 years old) had a large stubborn wart on his foot.  I work with therapeutic grade essential oils and we put oils on this wart for about 2 months, probably 3 nights per week.  I had some changes, but not what I was looking for, which was for the thing to go away.  One night he came to me and said "grandma, we need to put the oils on this wart" and I said "ok, just give me a little time...." then I thought "THYME!".  I kid you not - I went in and put 2 drops of thyme essential oil on the wart and the next morning he came to me and said "Grandma, the wart is gone".  I couldn't believe it.  Completely gone and it was almost as big around as a pencil eraser with seeds in it.

With essential oils, when you have the right oil it will work very quickly and this was a wonderful example of that.  If I were pregnant, I personally would have no problem using Young Living essential oils and I know many people who do while pregnant, however of course consult with your doctor if you have concerns.  A wart is a virus - getting rid of them is usually one of the easiest ways for me to show people the power of essential oils because of how fast they go away with no scar.

  5. Cider vinegar will not hurt the baby.

but there is another way to get rid of the warts that if more effective

it will get rid of any wart.

Warts need air to live so shut off their air suply

cover the wart with a bit of Vaseline

next cover it with a small peice of plastic wrap (just enough to cover the area)

next cover the whole area plus more with duct tape

    leave on for 5 days

on the fifth day take off tape and sand with an emery board

(use a new one each time and through out the one that you used)

leave the tape off for 8 hours and repeat

your skin needs air as well so it is important to leave it off for 8 hours.

keep doing this until your wart falls off

plus do it one more time

Warts will spread as they are caused by a virus so on the day that you have the tape off if you take a shower or bath use vinegar in the tub to disinfect it.

Doing it this way you know that it will not hurt the Baby.

    Good Luck
