Is it safe to use baking soda to clean wood floors?

my kitchen has wood floors so just to rub off any yucky grease.

or is it not safe?

  1. I would not do that - It leaves a film and that will be a lot of work to get rid of it.  I suggest you use the previous answers to get the job done.


  2. I use wood polish instead of baking soda.

    There one called Hollywood Lemon Oil or Pledge oil base cleaner

  4. Baking soda is a wonderful mild abrasive and it should be fine. You may get some leftover residue if you use too much. Suggestion: I've rediscovered Murphy's Oil Soap for my wood floors. It works wonderfully and the scent is so clean! Heavenly! Good luck!
