  1. No. Just get a bottle of declorinator for $3. It will last you quite awhile.

  2. Depends on the quality of YOUR tap water.

Some places can be used directly from the tap, no treatment.

If plain chlorine is used to treat your water, then letting it sit will let the chlorine evaporate.

If chloramine is used to treat your water, then the letting the water sit thing doesn't work. You must use a water treatment in that case.

You can call your water supply company and ask, but if you aren't SURE, use the water treatment.

  3. it should be but just incase your town uses chlormaine insted of chlorine also use a declornator in the water while it sits

  4. If your tap water company uses chlorine to keep the tap water clean, then yes, but I would let it sit out for 3 days just to insure that the chlorine has evaporated. If your tap water company uses chlorine and chloramines, then no, because chloramines will not evaporate, you must condition the water. If I were you, I would use the conditioner just to be safe, plus most tap water has heavy metals that will not evaporate, therefore a conditioner will be needed.

  5. Unless it's well water, I wouldn't take the chance of using tap water, not only is the problem chloramines but other heavy metals found in municipal water. Please use a reputable water conditioner for the sake of your Betta. Stress Coat is great

  6. no this does not actually work

    get some water conditioner

also i was wondering how you fit an aquarium heater  into a bowl
