  1. as others said, I also recommend you, if you have common sense, no need to worry, don't go for risky things, then you can enjoy you holyday there. I was there three times and once alone, didn't face any difficulty while moving and even shopping.

before you leave there, just get some idea about places, transportation options, shopping places, hotels, street details, Banks and other more important details to make you trip easy there. have a great vacation !!

  2. Sure. Be a wise traveler, you must know the safe travel guidelines and it depends on those places where you are going in Naples. It's a safe place to travel as long as you exercise discretion and common sense. You'll find the same con artists and hustlers here that you'll find anywhere else. <*-*>

  3. It is ok. Just do not go to the Spanish Quarter. Also a nice Hotel is the Hotel Excelsior

  4. I've been all over the world.just use common sense and don't put yourself in harm's way.You are responsible for your own safety.Remember that and you will have a great time and be fine. When you can, come to Texas,it's a great place!!!

  5. I live in naples and I'm an american, and I walk around go places all the time by myself if I cant get someone to go with me. I would suggest you go with someone if possible but if not you should be ok if you just use common sense and be careful. WATCH YOUR STUFF

  6. I'm a single female and I spent a couple of days in Naples a couple of years ago. I had only a little bit of trouble -- mostly with overly friendly cab drivers whom I had to fight off and lousy hotel accommodations that I gave up almost immediately. There's plenty to see, especially in terms of museums, and the city bus tour is worth the money. I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Just exercise the proper cautions about wearing a small purse across your body instead of on one shoulder, etc. And don't pick a hotel on a busy street. Some main drags are terrifyingly busy and extremely loud. I could probably track down the name of the central city hotel I moved to if you like...

  7. if you can go to washington, you can also go to naples! italy is not only mafia and pizza

  8. You're right to want to go to Naples: it is incredibly beautiful.

It is not the safest city in Italy though. My suggestions are:

    - Don't bring on you anything precious. No jewels, nice watches, signed bags etc...

    - Stick to the touristic places. They are wonderful, safer than the rest, and you will be immersed in the city climate all the same

Have fun, and don't forget to eat a pizza, it is different and arguably better than in the rest of Italy.

  9. i have been there twice and never had a problem..like any city in USA or over seas if you look like a target you'll be a target.  read your map in a cafe where there are not so many on lookers and know where your going... keep your belongings close and you should have no problems.
