I want to take a trip to manzanillo, mexico but i want to know if anyone knows if its safe for americans to visit there?

Yes it is safe. But make sure you don't go on CARNIVAL, they really SUCK.

I went to a resort in Manzanillo a few years back.  For the most part, from talking to resort employees and the like, I learned that it isn't exactly safe in Manzanillo if you're wandering around the wilderness... however, if you're staying in a resort, I'd definitely recommend it.

I stayed at Club Mayava, if that's any help.

Manzanillo is a great place and very popular with Americans and Canadians.  All the modern stuff including Walmart, Buger King, KFC, new movie theaters, etc

I was there last year.  I went to different beaches every day and partied until 3 in the morning at Bora's.
