Is it safe to wash my hair yet?

Question

Yesterday around 3:00-4 I dyed my hair blue-black.

I'm gonna be going out tonight and really don't want to have oily hair.. but is it safe for me to take a shower and wash it? Or should I wait until tomorrow?

Btw, it's 2:10 right now.

I usually wait a couple of days after dying, but if it's really oily just don't shampoo only condition, shampoo might strip the color a little.

Yes, it's perfectly safe to wash your hair now & there is absolutely no need to wait until tomorrow.

If it's a permanent colour it wont come out until you cut it out (although it may fade). If it's a semi-permanent (temporary) it will wash out gradually with each wash. It should say on the box how many washes it will last.

Who said to wait to wash your hair?.I've colored my hair tons of times, and It's never done anything to it..Hair color is going to fade no matter what you do...It won't make it stay longer...and when you shower, The reason why your water is a different color(Just to tell you, Just so you don't know.), isn't your hair color washing out..It's the excess color washing off your hair strand, and scalp...Go ahead and wash your hair..It's fine.

You should probably wait until tomorrow, just to be sure. You don't want to rinse any of your colour out! :)

You are supposed to wait 48 hours, for the dye to set...you can certainly wash you hair just using water, not shampoo...

It will look a lot better even with just water...my hair is so oily (and thin and fine) that I wash it every day...but when I got it colored, I just used water to wash it, and it looked fine...

My hairdresser told me that dying the hair helps it to feel less-oily, so see if a warm water wash will help!
