  1. no,never rinse the paint brush in kitchen sink,PB should be cleaned only in kerosin so as to avoid any stiking of its paint in drainage line, also paint can damage the look of sink.

  2. As long as it is latex paint, and not oil.  Use warm/hot water and take the drain basket out of the drain.  Make sure you wash your sink out afterwards.

  3. Try to avoid washing brushes in the kitchen sink.

(however-we are aware that the choice is yours)

  4. im not a plumber but it might clog your drain....i think only turpentine removes paint

  5. Well my mom has been washing out her brushes in the sink for as long as I can remember which is a long time and she is always painting something in the house so it is a regular thing and she has never had any problem doing it so I would have to say yes it is safe. I know it probably isn't all that good for the ecology but now days nothing is. It isn't going to clog your drain since it isn't something that is thick and will harden in water either. If you were using oil paint you could still use the sink after you had cleaned the brush with thinner or turpentine to finish cleaning the brush with soap and then rinsing it.  The best place to wash out your brushes is the sink so you don't end up getting paint all over plants outside or risk staining the pavement.

  6. that would depend on if it is water based or oil based, if it is oil based you will need to use mineral turpentine to clean up, which could be possibly be hazardous in the future, but i personally wouldn't be worried.

and if it is water based you don't have anything to worry about.

by the way, paint will not block your drain.

  7. I have always washed mine in the kitchen sink. Never use hot water to wash brushes, only slightly warm soapy water. In the Kitchen Sink! Hang to dry. If you are going to use them again later, wrap them in foil,or a plastic baggy. They will be ready to go next time you start. It won't hurt the drains. Even if it is oil based paint,I wash mine in the sink after I have wiped them down with thinner to remove all the excess. I have been doing this for about - - well lets just say a long time and never have clogged the drain. Byee  Oh, I clean the oil based ones first out in the garage. Only after they are cleaned with thinner ,do I bring them in and wash them. I don't want folks thinking I put paint thinner down the drain,it is bad for the fish in the ocean.
