Is it safe to wear a Blue Jays jersey at Fenway when the Jays are in town, or will I run the risk of a fight?

I am in Boston on business and am going to Fenway Park on 08/15 to see the Sox and Jays, by myself. Am I safe to respectfully wear my Jays Jersey? Please, no "Sox Rule!" answers, just an honest opinion of how I will be treated. Thanks.

The Jays aren't seen as rivals and you should be fine at Fenway. People won't bother you and hopefully you sit next to knowledgeable people to talk to about each others team, which always makes being at a game more enjoyable.

ive been to fenway park in all yankees gear so i know what it feels like.... you get a lot of little disses and comments but if u let i go nothing will happen....but i like gettin into fights w them so its funny.

I once wore my Yankees Johnny Damon T-Shirt to Fenway and was fine.  It's to be expected that someone will be at the park wearing the opponets colors.  As long as you're not a drunk jerk and respectfully wear your shirt like you say you are...then you'll be fine.

The only time I got heckled in Fenway was when I got up during an inning to use the bathroom and I stood out like a sore thumb.  I got lots of boos and it was fun.  I actually got heckled worse in the streets as I was walking around town.  Even some jerk stopped his car to harass me in the middle of the day and i'm like..."relax guy".  They're pretty bitter up there.

I don't see what the problem is there. Now if you wore a Yankees jersey at Fenway when the Jays are in town, then you'd be in trouble

Only drunks, fake fans and bandwagoners will apply some dumb "no opposing fans" or "no opposing jerseys" rule in Fenway Park and harrass you to no end.  It's not like they paid for the stadium with their own money or built it with their own hands.....

Anyone should be able to enjoy a baseball game wherever and whenever they want and root for whichever team is playing on the field of play.  Why ruin it for opposing fans and players?  They love baseball just like everyone else does!

Every time I've been to Boston the people have been very, very nice. Like earlier posters said - as long as you are nice and respectful as well, you won't have a problem.

im a marlins fan and every time the mets come to town theres always one fight if u wear dont talk trash jus stay quiet but if you were a yanks fan you would get jumped by alot of people

That takes guts to do that. But, yeah you might get your occasional "boo" here and there, but you will be fine. Nobody will throw a bottle or fist in your direction. Just dont wear a Yankees jersey under it!

I've been to Fenway over 100 times. As long as you are not beligerently drunk or obnoxious and as long as you don't get pissed off at anyone being a drunken idiot (happens at all parks) then you should be fine.

you'll be fine. we have respect for the jays and o's. if you said you were coming to fenway to watch the jays game and wore a yankees or rays jersey, then yes, id say you'd run right into a fight. sox fans don't have problems with any other teams except the yankees (obv) and the rays (since they are in 1st). but fans from different teams have worn their teams jersey at fenway, and not many fights have happened. go right ahead and wear your jersey to the game but be ready for a brutal loss to your beloved jays.

I have been to Fenway twice and both times it was a Yanks/Sox game. There were no Red Sox fans beating up myself or any other Yankee fans wearing jerseys. In my opinion, I think you have nothing to worry about. Wear your jersey proudly and cheer for your team if they do well, just dont be rude or obnoxious about it.
