Is it safe to wear red and blue in Tampa?

I'm moving to Tampa from a small town with no gangs.

i live in LA/OC.. its safe to wear red and blue in the middle of compton as long as your not decked out in flagrant gang attire or wearing all blue/red and wearing bandanas and trying to look like a gangster.. im pritty sure crips/bloods know blue and red are primary colors worn by normal people...

Yes it's safe. I don't know what the other person with their Bennigan's is talking about. Tampa is perfectly safe. Well not PERFECTLY as any place has crimes but it's generally safe. However I have seen people overwhelmed or taken back by the heavy diversity. Especially people who seem fearful of "ghetto" people. I used to but they're people just like anyone else. It is a very diverse and large city but no gangs or anything to scared of.

I don't think you will have a problem in Tampa.  This side of the US is quite different from LA.  I go to Tampa a lot, and I have worn all colors!  It not the same!  You will love it here.....people are a lot more friendly than CA.  There are some area of Tampa I wouldn't want to live in (there are gangs), but generally, it's a great place.  You will love the beaches!
