  1. The larger the airplane, the less frequently it will be bounced around by turbulence, but ALL airplanes do get bumped around some.  Even the 747-400.

And small jets are no more "scary" than larger jets.  They all enjoy the great safety benefits of modern aviation.  You'll be fine.

  2. It doesnt matter if a plane is small or big, there still safe. The E145 is a popular small plane and its never had a fatal accident. Turbulence is worse in smaller planes than big planes but its definetly not scary.

  3. The bigger the plane, the more the pilots get paid. Therefore bigger planes are flown by better and more experienced pilots. This is the main reason  why bigger planes are safer than smaller planes.

  4. It takes a lot more force to move a 747 from it's flight path because you are moving a very large mass, thus turbulences is not as intense in a larger aircraft where smaller aircraft(less mass) get tossed around like a toy.

  5. That's right; most smaller planes are much more susceptible to turbulence for small aircraft are generally light and slow, unless you're talking military.

At any rate, modern aircraft have some of the lowest accident rates of all transportation types so don't worry about it.

  6. As long as you are talking about commercially owned aircraft,

a small jet is no more 'dangerous' than a larger one.  All commercial jets undergo the same safety inspections mandated by the FAA.  Most of the smaller commercial jets have the same type of flight deck controls and capabilities.

Turbulence is not dangerous if you are strapped into your seat.  The only exception would be extreme turbulence at a very low altitude (close to landing), with the possibility of windshear.
