Is it sanitary to handle money and then raw pizza without washing hands?

Today I ordered a pizza. The guy that took my money went over and made the pizza without washing his hands. Rolling out the dough and everything. Is this ok because it was cooked or should he have washed his hands?

Money is extremely dirty with traces of ecoli and other nasty bacteria, it's not alright for any one handling food to be handling money without washing their hands or sanitizing them first.  The heat probably helped eliminated the germs but it is still unacceptable.

That's a health violation!!!!  Money is nasty with all kinds of germs.  Even TB, STD, HIV etc.  No telling who has been touching it.  You should report that establishment and worker.

He should have washed his hands.  Hopefully, the heat killed off most of the germs - but definitely a good way to get food poisoning.  I wonder what else he has been doing with his hands?

i think technically it is fine, the heat should kill anything that he may have had on his hands. however, he should have washed his hands, definetly. i used to work in a bakery and we had to wash our hands after everytime we handled money.

touching money is worse then l*****g a public toilet seat! its a fact! i would be reporting that! it doesnt matter if it was cooked or not, he should have washed his hands!

lol just think of how many hands have touched that same bill, after they have gone to the bathroom, or picked up dog p**p! who knows there are many endless possibilities!

Yes, it's also against the health code.  

This should be reported to the manager and steps taken to be sure that this does not happen again.  

Too many times violations such as this go unnoticed or unreported.   Unsanitary conditions can cause guests to become ill.

he should have washed his hands because money is so very dirty. and i would have told him to do so. people pick there noses,teeth,their behind, sweat through to their pockets where  the money is,pump gas and touch the money..... the list goes on and on. yuk!

Even though it is cooked I think that is still dirty. If that happened to me I would be like "Dude,just stop rolling that dough and give me back my money"...lol..seriously..

that's plain nasty...money is handled by millions of people and you never know where it's been. that is really insanitary
