  1. Congratulations on defining the word hypocrite.  Since you're concerned with word meanings, you should know that a vegetarian is someone who does not eat dead animals.  Any dead animals.  Period.  Yes, it would be safe for you to become a vegetarian, but that's not what you're asking about.  It's also safe for you to become an omnivore who doesn't eat land mammals, which is what you're asking about, and which is fine, but is not vegetarian.  There's no such thing as a semi-vegetarian.  It would be like being semi-pregnant.  You either are or you're not.  It's not a value judgement, just a fact.

  2. Oh come on, of course it is! Just do your research and you'll be fine. And what, chickens don't have feelings? If you're becoming a vegetarian because you feel bad for animals, but not chickens, than you're a hypocrit.

  3. You safely could become a pollo-vegetarian (eats poultry) or a pescetarian (fish eating vegetarian). If you choose either one of these you will get more then enough protein to live a long, healthy life.

    Good luck.

  4. Everyone has their own reason for a diet. What they want to eat or not. The only thing you have to be concerned about is that you get all the nutritional needs.

  5. There is no such thing as "semi-veggie".  Just because you eat some plant matter along with your fish or chicken does not make you anything close to being a vegetarian.  Chicken and fish is meat.  Meat is the flesh from an animal.  Not that I condone eating fish or chicken but they have as much protein as other meats but a varied diet of veggies, legumes, nuts and grains offer enough protein as well.

  6. It's OK. I'm a vegetarian myself. You should take vitamins daily though. If you think you can't commit, then you should try foods with tofu, or meatless meatballs you can get at trader Joe's. They are actually very Delicious! Trust me, they taste like the real thing. Good luck!

  7. going vegetarian adds at least 6 extra years to your life, so that's one reason to go vegetarian. I guess it would be safe.......unless someone's going to kill u if u go vegetarian, of course.

  8. You need to learn how to cook to be a healthy vegetarian.

  9. Of course it is. It is good you feel compassion for pigs and cows, although it is unfortunate that you don't care about the others. A flexitarian is someone who eats meat sometimes but, not always. Since, you would eat some meat such as chicken you would fit into the category of being a flexitarian. There are a lot of ways to get protein. You can get protein from cereals, vegetables, soy milk, protein shakes, protein bars such as Luna Bars, and many others.

    P.S

    use spell check.

    Its hypocrite!

a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

Well, you should proof read your questions before you tell someone else to use spell check.
