  1. no.

  2. No.

But I think it's mean to not let your child have a regular beef burger or a steak every once in a while.

  3. you quite obviously dont believe in it whole heartedly.. otherwise you wouldnt even see non vegan as an option for your child. selfishness has nothing to do with it.. unless youre a meat eater and you want to do it to save money or something

  4. I don't think that this is selfish at all! However, if your child wants to eat meat at a friend's house I don't think you should stop them from doing so. But, as long as they are getting their protein I think it's perfectly fine. I was raised almost veg. (we ate fish) and I'm allowed to eat meat, but I generally don't. Do whatever you think will be good for your child.

  5. As long as they are eating a healthy, well-balanced diet then I don't think it's selfish.

As another post says - just make sure they are getting lots of iron and protein (which meat provides), as well as any other substitutes for the vitamins they may be missing out on from not eating anything "animal related" (sorry, couldn't think of a better way to word that!) such as calcium.

If you're vegetarian or vegan then I'm sure you know how to do this.

  6. certainly not. Eating non-veg is cuelt towards the animals. so as a parent, u must guide ur chid towards right path.

  7. No way. By the way I LOVE ♥ Charli ♥ TASSIE MUM's answer!

  8. I'd say no up until a certain age.  I don't eat meat and I don't want my daughter to eat meat either.  I'm going to stick with it until she is able to tell me otherwise!!  good luck....and you know what is best for your child.

  9. Is it selfish to bring your child up Catholic or Christian??

  10. It's Not "selfish" but they need protein so be sure  to find a good substitute.

  11. Selfish?  In what way?  Can't the same thing be said about many other parental choices?

  12. I don't believe so.  My son is 18 months old and he is strictly vegetarian.  He is extremely healthy, and happy.  Someday if he chooses to eat meat that is fine, and his choice.  But for right now I feel I am doing what is best for him.

  13. No, because then when they turn 18 or leave the house to live on their own they should be able to choose what they want to be.

  14. It's not selfish as long as you make sure they're getting enough of the vitamins and minerals they need to grow up healthily. Depending on their diet they might need to take a supplement.

I think it's unfair to force a vegetarian or vegan diet on a child that's old enough to make its own decisions, but then again if they're not old enough to make their own food and it's you that has to handle stuff that you find distasteful...

  15. no!
