Is it sick to like Mayuri ?(BLEACH)?

i mean especially since they showed him sans- face paint and ridiculous outfit. i don't particularly like his evilness (considering he was mean to Ishida) but for some reason i get really exited when he comes. its also weird because i also like Shiba Kaien and they are total opposites. so IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME!!!

Okay. let mer answer this objectively without referring to any single anime character.

cartoons and drawings, no matter how realistic can never truly represent an identity without some idealizing or stylizing. So when you see an anime, you aren't being shown a real person but the Idea of one.

That's why it seems like so many guys are turned on by hentai, because its basically a visual evocation of an idea. When you watch anime you aren't seeing a real person just the suggestion of "good looking" "in shape" "male".

this is also probably why, less people are turned on by the live-action versions of anime, because real people can;t ever live up to imaginary people as far as evoking lust.

There's nothing wrong with liking Mayuri. It's kind of like me and my friends lol. We like some characters that are always acting silly and stupid yet we also like characters that are calm and serious all the time. I say it's normal to like one thing about one person/thing and still like someone/something that's completely different or opposite. For example... In Bleach(didn't want to use an anime not many people watch lol), Renji is one of the characters that I like. Though on the other hand, I still take a huge liking to Hanatarou. So like you said, Mayuri and Kaien are both completely opposite, just like Renji and Hanatarou. Wouldn't you agree? ^-^

Theres nothing wrong with you. I like total opposite people from all my favorite anime shows too which is kind of funny. Mayuri is kind of twisted in odd ways but he can actually have some pretty funny  speeches whenever he's threatening people despite his evil ways.
