Is it silly that I'm 26 and LOVE Halloween?

I have an almost 2 year old and I am looking SO forward to Halloween this year. I love to dress up, and dress him up, and decorate the house. (Mainly, I love fall and the colors of fall.. the crispy-ness of the air. I love the fall months) My husband thinks it's silly and immature and doesn't want to participate, but I think it's fun when families dress up together. :/ Am I really immature for liking Halloween so much?

  1. Not at all. Its like loving Christmas or any other holiday. Theres no age limit :)

  2. No it's not. I love Halloween. I'm dressing up every year and when I'm an adult I will have a halloween party. There will be popcorn balls, candy, punch, ice cream, cookies, chips, pizza, music, costume contest, scary movies, waiting outside to scare trick or treaters, talk about Robert the doll.

  3. not at all.  halloween is the only holiday which promotes the use of the imagination.  imagination is beneficial to put into good  use for a lifetime.

  4. Well if you are then so am I.  I love Autumn, its my favorite time of year.  I have a three year old here and we've been planning our Halloween costumes for a while and we are planning out our decor now as well.  He's going to be Robin Hood and his little cousin will be Maid Marian.  I hope that you guys have lots of fun and thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only 26 year old "kid" out there.  Happy Haunting!

  5. No way man! I'm  21 and Halloween is my favorite holiday! I LOVE to dress up! I also love going to haunted houses and costume parties. I go through so many costumes each year; it's a blast. And I think it's really cute to see little kids dressed up. I work at a daycare and we always decorate our rooms and have a big Halloween party each year, lots of fun.

  6. I am older than you and I love Halloween!! I would like to travel the country attending Halloween events. I not only participate in Halloween activities, but I have also been studying the holiday's traditions, history, and folklore for years. I spend hours at a time reading about and researching it.

  7. no no at all enjoy your self candy yummy!!!

  8. not at all, this halloween i will be going to halloween horror nights for the fourth year in a row, i decorate my house, i dress up and hand out candy and go to halloween parties, i visit all the local haunted houses, my son and his friends always invite me to the cemeteries to ghost hunt. i say enjoy! i also love the fall. i grew u in upstate ny, fall is my favorite time of year.

  9. No. Halloween is an awesome holiday! One of the best! I'm 16 and I still get so excited every October. And I plan on still loving it when I get older too.

  10. I think Halloween is a good holiday to celebrate, it's fun for all ages, that's why there's all kind of costumes for kids and adults, so don't get upset for what people think.

If you need Halloween costume ideas and decoration, i would like to recommend this website.

  11. Its a good holiday I don't blame you...

  12. No way!!  Your husband is just getting old.  I'm 33 and still having fun.  Of course I'm not dressing up and running outside...

I'm the one that's setting up haunted houses and graveyards.  The biggest problem is coming up with new ideas.

Have a fun Halloween,  and drag your husband out too.  or he can count his grey hair. LOL

  13. You go for it girl!!!

I am 51 and I love the holiday.  I dress up and answer the door for the trick or treaters.  My house looks awesome too.  I carve pumpkins.. heck I even raise them for the holiday and donate some to the local kindergartners.  I am crazy for the holiday!!!!!!!!!!

  14. I don't think it's silly at all, in fact I think the mindset that your husband has is disappointing.  I think it's important to keep a youthful spirit, regardless of your age, and I hope that 20 years from now you still love Halloween just as much as you do now.  Why shouldn't you?  I'm with you, in any case.  I love the holiday; it's probably my favorite.
