Is it smart to buy a house right now?

My husband and I are thinking about buying a house in NJ, Should we wait since the value of property is very low, or is this the time to buy?

now is the time to buy as the rates are low but the gov.is starting some safeguards for property buyers now to help keep houses out of foreclosure.make sure the payments are in your price range.you can go online and check out payments on different mortgage rates,so go for it and good luck

Are you trying to flip houses, or own one to live in? In my opinion property is always a good investment. It's a buyer's market. Just don't take any loans you can't actually afford. That's what the real estate collapse is all about, and it ain't good.

THIS IS THE TIME TO BUY...NOW !!!  You'll be able to get a nicer/larger house for less money.  And in a few years (or more) the value of your home will go up , so if you decided to sell you would MAKE MONEY!!!!!!

DEFINATELY buy NOW !! It is a buyer's market and homeowners , like myself , have drastically REDUCED the prices of our homes in hopes of getting them sold .....

Go to realtor.com and check out the various homes in the area you want to live in .....
