Question

if i get a perm is it possible to get rid of it if i don't like it? ie will chemically straightening it make it straight again? and will it damage my hair too much?also my hair is very long ( down to my butt) so will a perm hold in the first place?

Yes you can get rid of a perm. My friend had a perm and she no longer has one .....so ...yeah!

it depends on your hair is it coloured? if you put some layers in it it would hold better i would not advise on chemily straighten it after, just think its the opposite it perming it so will probably kill your hair!!!!!!!!

My friend has a perm and it looks lovely, but on days she doesn&#039;t want to have it curly she just straightens it. As your hair is long, the curls will probably be looser as your hair is heavier, but it should still hold. I think you probably could get it chemically straightened after having a perm, but this is damaging to your hair. But then again - so is dyeing, straightening, curling, perming, bleaching, and blow drying so i wouldn&#039;t worry about it too much.

It depends on when u got it. it you got it today then just take a shower if you got it a few days ago  the go to the Sloan and have it done by a professional. and yes it will severely damage your hair.

It is possible to get rid of, but chemically straightening your hair does a LOT of damage, especially if you had a perm previously. With extra long hair like yours, I wouldn&#039;t do it.

You should decide what you want because if you get a perm, you will have to wait until it&#039;s gone or get your hair cut to get rid of it. You can&#039;t just &quot;get rid of&quot; either one. It&#039;s important that you take care of your hair properly with any chemical processing. Your stylist should be able to tell you if the perm will hold, or the best method. You will probably need to get a haircut. Unless you really like it that long, it&#039;s really useless because it&#039;s impossible to style it.
