1. I can stay this to you, from woman to woman, it is possbile to have your periods like this. I have to say this to you, when your periods are irregular all the time and you aren't taking anything to try to regulate them then things like this can happen. A lot of people don't experience it, but there's a few that do... But yes don't worry, talk to your doctor when she comes back.. PCOS is bad news!!!! I have this same problem. I've taken 3 rounds of clomid and now my doctor has ref me to a specialists. I having ovulated and to be honest, I'm tried of charting as well... But good luck to you, Mommy to Be..

Always remember irregular periods, you don't know when they are coming or going and Yes they can last for a while...

  2. It is possible to get your periods even when you don't ovulate. A Basal Body Thermometer and/or an Ovulation Predictor Kit can help you know when you ovulate.

It is not unheard of to have 14-day cycles, but it is definitely something worth talking to a doctor about. I suggest you immediately see another doctor, because periods changing drastically is not common. Unless, if you have just started having your periods (less than one year or so since your first period ever). Are you taking birth control or other hormone pills? They can mess up your cycle. I suggest you talk to a doctor.
