if i took cold medicine early today in the morning. for cough and losening mucus.

and then in the middle of the day took IBprofen.

and then 3 hours ago i took another IBprofen

and now i want to take more cold medicine?

is that okay?

i have a cold and menstrual cramps so i have to take both mediciness

is it safe?

  1. As long as the cough medicine doesn&#039;t have ibuprofen in it.

    I take ibuprofen at 800 mg, up to three times a day for arthritis.

    I think you are unlikely to have a problem.

    The cough medicine likely had dextromathorphan hydrobromide to suppress the cough, and Guaifenesin to loosen the mucus.  These meds generally don&#039;t interfer with each other, and indeed this is the combination I use when I have a bad cold or the flu.


  2. Your ok most cold medicines don&#039;t contain Ibuprofen. Just to be sure since I don&#039;t know what cold medicine you&#039;re taking just check the box where it says active ingredients and see if Ibuprofen is on it.  

  3. Is ibu in the cold medicine?  If not, then it should be ok  at least 2hrs apart.
