If you check your dictionary, you'll find that both spellings are correct. "Gray" is usually used in America - we spell it "grey" here in Australia.

Well gray is more commonly used.. as the color , or used when describing wall paper, a car, a object..  Grey is usually used as a adjective such as his hair is greying...........

my school colors are red and grey.

i always thought it was "gray"

but for everything around school, they use "grey"

Both. That's no help but it's true. Pom's prefer "grey", Yank's prefer "gray". They both convey meaning so I don't care.
