If I heard someone refer to cat, like say, "come here p***y". or "see that cute p***y", I would LOL.  p***y without the cat on the end, is not common anymore.

Yes, very. I say p***y all the time. Once I saw an adorable baby kitten in the street and said, "Oh look a p***y" and they all said "Oh baby!"
