Question:

Is it still considered morning sickness if I have nausea but NOT vomiting?

I am thankful that I haven't had any vomiting but I seem to have all day nausea. I can't eat very much at one sitting or I'll get severely nauseated but when I don't eat I get hunger pains. I am not severely nauseated all day, more like just a persistent, mild nausea.

But like I said, it isn't accompanied by vomiting. Is it still considered morning sickness or is there another name for it? I'm 8 weeks pregnant.

  1. Yes it is.

I had nausea and a dry heaving (sorry, gross but true) rather than the actual event from weeks 11-14. Thank god that’s over! It was the world's longest hangover - only I didn't get to have any fun the previous nights! :-(

There are tons of tricks out there, but all natural ginger ale (sweetened with cane juice ,not high fructose corn syrup) was helpful to me.

  2. Yes, it sucks. I WANTED to throw up and when it finally happened i wanted it to stop. lol congradulations

  3. Yes, it is still morning sickness.  I have a secret weapon for you!  My morning sickness was unbearable!  I was not able to keep much down so my doctor gave me a tip.  There is a medication available in the UK that we do not have here and it all buts terminates morning sickness.  Take one unisom and one B-12 vitamin and say goodbye to nausea.  I know it sounds odd but it works.  If you are unsure about taking meds without a doctor's approval, call your local pharmacist, they'll tell you its true!

  4. It sure is considered morning sickness! I have nausea all day and at night but no vomiting. Try and eat small meals every two to three hours. It helps with the constant queasy feeling.

  5. Yep it's wonderful morning sickness... Don't worry it goes away eventually. Try anything with ginger in it, that really helped me.
