Is it still possible to get a 212 phone number?

I was wondering if it is still possible to get a 212 phone number in New York since they have other area codes their now.

yes there are still 212 numbers being given out to new line installs.

347 was supposed to supplement 212 numbers, but 347 ended up going to mostly cellular and VoIP carriers.

our company has ONE customer (landline) with a 347 number in manhattan, but I believe she ported her number from a VoIP/cellular carrier. I have never seen any one else in NYC (manhattan) with a landline area code other then 212

212 - manhattan

718 - brooklyn, bronx, queens, staten island

347, 646, 917 - cellular / VoIP all 5 boro's

call you carrier andask, depending on where you live them may not have any 212 area code left

Its still possible to get a number like that, but it depends on what part of town you live in.  

(rate centers vary from street to street)
