When I was about 13, I got caught shoplifting twice: once at Nordstrom's and another at Cala Foods. They were probably in Both pretty much the most stupid decisions I've ever made. I didn't have to go to court. My dad had to pay a fine for Nordstrom's, but there was no fine to pay for Cala since I was under thirteen.

Now, its around 4 years later, and I'm planning on getting a job. While looking at multiple applications, some questions ask, "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?" and I'm unsure on whether to check 'yes' or 'no', even though the choice seems obvious. Because I didn't go to court at all, do I check no? My questions are will places reject me of a stupid choice that I made when I was younger and will these two instances going to be found if a background check is to be done on me?

  1. To guest number 3661 shoplifting is a felony if its over a certain amount. I have felony shoplifting on my record just from being with someone who was shoplifting. But if you are a minor you wont have anything
