As of a few years ago you could privatize your information with the DMV by submitting an alternate mailing address and having that address put onto a new Id.

  1. Sorry but your driving record is a open record to all companies that need to know it. It is will be with you all your life.

  2. Never heard of that.  Your record goes by your license number NOT your address, so changing your address will not affect the availability of your record to the police or to your auto insurance company, sorry.

I have been in this business over 19 years and have been able to pull anyone's driving record as long as I had the license number.   If a number came up "no hit" then the insurance company requires a copy of the drivers license.

If the insured does not comply, the insurance can be cancelled.
