Is it still taboo to wear white after Labor Day?

Somebody just asked me the origin too and I have idea either.

A lot of people are still savvy to it but but it's pretty much died out, lots of people, including myself, wear white after labor day. In fact most of my winter coats & jackets are white.

For me, in the heart & spirit of winter, I think I just kind of get into the whole snow theme. But that's personal.

im planning to wear white shorts for the first day of school! (monday)

anyway, i don't think many people today really mind, or have any idea of the origin (i sure don't!)
