Question:

Is it still wrong to call McCain out on his lack of judgment concerning his VP's overall *lack* of experience?

Which is it going to be? Will we (and the media) run interference to conceal the fact that Palin has no experience whatsoever and give McCain the benefit of the doubt?

Or will we just go on acting like it's either Pawlenty or Mittens that McCain chose and we can go on the attack against Barrack Obama?

  1. she has been in politics 2 years longer than obama has

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin

    try reading sometime.

and I will say this, I will agree with you she has no experience if you agree that obama doesnt either.

    hows that?

    obama votes on legislation.

Palin accepts or vetoes what obama does.

    obama "works" for the government

Palin "runs" the government and in reality, obama is her employee!

  2. Historically, the media hides the flaws of the Republican candidate, and exaggerate (or make up) flaws of the Democratic candidate. Thus, while George W. Bush went AWOL to avoid fighting in Vietnam, it was Kerry who ended up being smeared as a traitor while the media mostly looked away. Same with Al Gore, against whom the media made up lies such as the "Love Canal" lie that wasn't, and the "I invented the internet" lie that wasn't.

Because of this, I share your concern that Palin's lack of experience will be downplayed by the press corps.

  3. She has more executive experience than Obummer.  I can't stand that ex crackhead.

  4. SOME IN HIS OWN PARTY ARE ALREADY DOING IT, AND RIGHTLY SO.

  5. No, call him on this one, here is why, listen to what a member of her own party said, a conservative Republican Joe Scarborough, a former Republican congressman and MSNBC reporter, for once he got it exactly right: "If John McCain's campaign thinks he can get Hillary Clinton voters by choosing Palin it is condescending and insulting to women and it is a terrible political faux pax. You don't break through a glass ceiling because of gender or race, you do it on the basis of ability, experience, intelligence and judgment -- all qualities that Governor Palin either sorely lacks or has yet to demonstrate This is a stunt pick that is an insult to truly qualified women like Hillary Clinton or Kay Bailey Hutchison and, by extension, to all women"

  6. Don't you know the difference between the President and the Vice President?

If the inexperienced Obama wins, he will be the President.

He will have to hit the ground running from Day One.     He will have to immediately assume the duties of the most important political office on EARTH.

If McCain wins, the inexperienced Palin becomes the Vice President, not the President.

With the Vice Presidency, experience is nice, but it's not as crucial.

The Vice President has the time and space to grow into the job.

I don't expect you to admit to this crucial difference, Sky, because once you do, you lose the argument.

But wishing my argument to be false doesn't make it so.

  7. I don't see why... she has more and better experience than Obama (who, by the way, is at the TOP of the Dem ticket) and she doesn't have to hide or disown her friends because they hate America, are terrorist or both...

  8. Yes - as it always will be!  Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP (and future President)! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius who picks likewise!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * has actually been leading people for the past several years, while Obama & Biden have NEVER led anyone!

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!

    McCain/Palin '08

    Peace

  9. It's never wrong to call anyone out during politics. It's your opinions that count.

don't forget that rong paul - nader factor. Both will chip away at each camp.
