  1. I've had several refurbished products, including TV sets and they function just as well as any other NEW TV set....

Most of them are open-box units, that the customer opened up, didn't or couldn't make the TV work with their existing equipment (stands, low def cable boxes, too large to fit) and they exchanged it for another unit that did work....

Once the box is opened, they can't sell it for full price anymore....

So it's not any worse of a TV set than a brand new one....

And if it's a Manufacturer Refurbished unit, there will be a

"refurbished" sticker on it that tells you that it went thru a manufacturer assembly/test line to make sure it's up to the specifications of the manufacturer.......

    I prefer those....

  2. This question has been on here a few times.

    It a toss up,

Some think well its used and fixed what will go wrong next.

Some think it had a problem fixed and they don't just fix the one problem, but rebuild the device example: they put in new buttons even though they work fine, they replace the screen when it looks new,  etc.. And they fix the problem.
