  1. Probably yes, because tea (just like coffee) is a diuretic.  That means that you expel more fluids when you drink tea.

  2. Yes.  That is why tea is considered cleansing for the body.  Depending on the type of tea I believe, it varies on how much it affects your movement.

  3. yes

  4. Tea has antioxidants in it which clean out your system, so yes, it does make you go more but that is good, you are getting junk out of your system!

  5. Because of the caffeine, tea and coffee both have diuretic effects... in other words, you're right in thinking that it makes you urinate more often.  You could switch to decaffeinated tea to see if it makes a difference -- the health benefits are the same otherwise.

  6. Typically, tea contains caffeine which will, in fact, cause you to urinate more frequently.  Make sure you are drinking enough water.. high caffeine intake (and subsequent urination) will certainly make you dehydrated.

  7. I hate using a caveat but here goes.  I too accept that caffeine acts as a diuretic, hence causing more frequent urination.  Now to be fair; I have been told by a medical professional, specifically a Registered Nurse that the temperature of the caffeinated drink has as much diuretic effect as the caffeine.  In her words, drinking hot water will cause almost as much urination as drinking the same amount of hot tea.  She further contends that iced drinks with or without caffeine have less effect than hot water.

I think the smart money is on the caffeinated drinks but I do consider her a competent authority and as such I felt you should hear her comments as well as my own, more conventional, thinking's.
