Is it technically possible to drink a neat shot of 90 percent alcohol?

Question

im NOT asking if its wise to do this i am asking if its scientifically possible?

or does a lot of the alcohol just vapourise at your body temp when it hits your tongue and mouth and the fumes make you splutter and spit it out while the rest of the alcohol burns the inside of your mouth out and make your mouth water?

as i said, im not asking if its wise to drink this, just if its possible. please base your answers on the vaporisation point of 90 percent alcohol, and body temperature or based on PERSONAL experience of drinking a shot of PURE- NOT MIXED OR DILUTED- 90 percent alcohol. thanks.

my friend says its possible, i say its not. tho they havent tried.

it is the same effect as drinking a shot of gasoline...When a person drinks, alcohol is rapidly absorbed into the body. Some of the alcohol is absorbed directly through the tongue and throat.  alcohol requires no digestion. As it enters the stomach, it is absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Yes it is possible, but it may cause you to go blind.

It's possible, only a small amount would evaporate on the way down the hatch.  However, the body may have an involuntary retching response to just inhaling the alcohol fumes, as the brain has a habit of assuming alcohol poisoning in these cases.

I've never done a 90pct shot, but I've done a 75pct shot, and the only thing was I had to hold my nose to get it down.  It burned like h**l, too.  I don't advise it, until you seriously want an ulcer.

not advisable but if you have the constitution of a goat then it is within the realm of possibility for a complete loon!! depends on your definition of pure alcohol though as i understand that distillation of alcohol is achieved at a very low +/- ratio or the product becomes methanol which is lethal in small doses? or so my science teacher kept telling me ha ha ha
