Is it the day that the old man prays, so asks my 5 year old........?

My 5 year old asks me this almost every single day, when I ask her what it means she just looks at me like I am crazy for not knowing.

Do your kids ask crazy things that you have no clue what they mean or are about?

my friend's 3 year old talks about aliens as if they're very real and hasn't been exposed so far as they know to this type of pretend (they're also strict Christians).  My niece said to her grandmother: remember when you were the baby and i was rocking you?  One day as they rocked on the swing together.  My bosses son said to her when he was about 3 or 4: Remember when we lived in China and I was an old man?  She's convinced it's a reincarnation thing.    I like to think there's something a little magical about children, but my logic tells me it's probably gobbledigook they picked up from different conversations/media etc mixed with amazing little imaginations .

Just tell her, yup, THIS is IT!!! This is THE day!!! woo hoo! And then wink, brush her hair, and smile, and then go do whatever you were doing. Whatever it means, its obviously important to her, so don't dash her cute little dreams by pretending the old man is dead or something horrible!

Kids are hillarious. Some of the things they ask, I think, no way am I goign to forget, it's so funny/weird, and then 2 years later and i can't think of a thing. I wish I'd write them down.

she probably seen a picture of jesus with his eyes closed and hands folded!! how cute. my son just told me today, on our way to a different city  (2 cities seperated by a river)

like 5 min away, that he doesn't like this city. when he is in it it makes him feel like he has "weird lifes'" i asked him what he meant and he said, you know mom, everything is different and weird, it makes me feel like i have a different life. lol
