  1. The driver AND the race car will win races.  It isn't just one or the other.  It's a combination of teamwork from the driver, pit crew, sponsor, etc.

  2. The driver, look at Robert Yates racing, they didn't do anything when Elliot Sadler drove the M&M's car. Now look. And everyone thought Jr. would win when hw got in a Hendricks car but has he yet to do anything with it? No.

  3. the driver, and the way the team as a whole prepares the car for the race on whatever track.

  4. Casey's done.....won the Coca Cola 600.  He's also with his 4th different team in 4 years.  He's also not a whiny little jerk.

Everyone was so proud of the Feminator winning the first COT race.  First thing he did when he got out of the car was say that the car sucked.  So I guess according to the official tool of NASCAR, it's all about the driver.

  5. Which came first? The chicken or the egg? Can one exist without the other...  ? lol

Take a volkswagon and give it to Richard Petty. Will he win?

Take  Kyle Busch's car and give it to Michael Waltrip. Will he win?

  6. I've always heard the best drivers end up in the best cars.  Busch, Gordon, Stewart - none of those guys could contend in bad cars.  Could Yeley or Kvapil win in Jimmie Johnsons stuff?  I honestly dont know.  I would think at least occasionally, maybe just not as often.

  7. Depends on both. If you have a good enough driver, you won't know their car is bad, but if the equipment is REALLY bad, like start and park level, then you'll probably know. If the car is good consistently, but it's always running bad, it's the driver.

50% driver, 50% car. CoT has changed it from roughly 60/40.

  8. The race car

  9. That's not a fair statement Kvapil had a h**l of a race today. If the car is c**p even the best driver can't do anything with it.

  10. I say more driver than car, yes, the car handling well helps, but take a good hard look at the #5 car this year compared to last, same car, different driver.

Kyle won the first cot race at Bristol in that car, finished 5th in points, and Casey's done....

  11. I think sometimes it more driver and then sometimes its the car. Its not a 50/50, 60/40, or 80/20. Its different every race.
