I know the Ducat customer bike sucks but only 23 pts, sureley his head must be down? Seems a long time since he was fighting with Rossi back in 2005..........

  1. Hopefully he will recover or go to another team.

Guintoli is the guy I feel sorry for just at what Colin Edwards is doing on the bike that but for politics could have been his.

  2. it's not the end of marco, but its probably over for him with ducati, then it never really started,to much pressure being the italian rider, on italian bike....<^><........

  3. Not yet he has a few seasons left in him, just needs a bike that suits him, great rider

  4. You're right about the Ducati - only Stoner knows how to handle that dog of a bike.

I think Melandri will have a problem finding a ride next season because young kids like Lorenzo are showing great promise.

    It's a shame - Melandri is a nice guy.

  5. Yeah it a real shame for Marco. He seemed like the innocent man today, getting taken out by the gravel loving french man Randy.

Randy must think he is at the beach every sunday, as he loves playing in the sand. Today he brought his old 250 fighting mate along, to see if he could built a bigger sand castle.

Your right about 23 points, and he is on the Full Factory GP08 not the satalite bike.

I can see, the race after Troy Bayliss win the WSB, he will be flown over the MotoGP paddock [ where he belongs ] and ride Marco's bike. Just to show him how its done.

I like Marco, but he needs to pull his finger out real quick, if he wants a job.

  6. In Ducati - yes, for his racing career - no. Marco is an amazing rider, but he has been having some obvious problems with the bike. Honestly, I don't think anyone else (except Stoner) will be capable of riding this bike!

Melandri is a talent, I'm sure someone else will be glad to take him. It would be cool to see him riding Honda or Yamaha bike although I don't want to see Lorenzo or Rossi leaving the team ;)

  7. Hey Julian

I agree with most of the above comments (and have thumbed 'em up for it) so will only add........there , there Marco lovie - you can't win 'em all, and on that brute you can rarely finish 'em all !

Hope he gets a good ride next season!

    Woof to your avatar too.

  8. I think Marco has a contract until the end of 09. but rumour has it he may use a get out clause to get out even before the end of this season ??

Ben Spies comes into this equation. (so do a few other superbike riders) Nicky Hayden would be my choice.

I don't think its the end of Marco's career in GP. he has too much Talent. Its not his fault the Ducati is a beast. he claims he cant feel the back end. which any rider will tell you is scary.

(even if you ride Speedway). When Stoner made it look easy any rider would have said yes to a Ducati contract. When Marco says he cant ride it .......????

where do we go from here

The likes of Stoner, Baylis, and Ruben Xaus (maybe) all ride with a style that can only be described as INTERESTING.

Marco has a style unsuited to the Beasts characteristics.

Tear up the contract, allow each party to leave amicably, let war commence.
