  1. i think in order to prevent kids from having s*x, they should make pornography illegal. because most kids i talked to say they have access to pornography.

  2. The government should provide health and s*x ed classes during school to educate kids on STD's and the dangers of unprotected s*x. It is up to the parents to decide whether or not to try and stop their kids from having s*x. Pornography should not be illegal because that goes against constitutional ammendments.

  3. It's the government's job to provide a complete education, to provide for the public health, and to establish laws that protect minors. It is the parent's job to teach morality. Both seem to be failing equally.

  4. You have made some interesting and difficult questions.

Most legal systems around the world have provisions as to when should a person be given the liberty to choose having s*x. That implies that most legal systems consider a minimum age for full sexual liberty. In other words, a minimum age of being able to freely decide about your sexuality. So "kids" as you say, is too vague, that is, you must specify the age range. Legally someone 17 years of age can't freely engage in sexual activity, though many already do, but should it be a 12 year old would you judge it as the same situation? How old is the other person by the way?

The law is also there to protect children from their own parents, whom as you know, are often the source of sexual abuse.

But "minimum age" applies to a lot of other issues, such as drinking or driving a car. Parents can decide if a teenager drinks at home but is it the same if he/she is under 12? Parents can decide to teach a teenager to drive but they can not authorize him to drive on the streets.

So the point is the legal system's role is not to "prevent kids from having s*x" but to enforce rules that protect children from taking decisions they are not mature enough to take, or being submitted to take them by adults, sometimes their parents.

  5. No, but be willing to talk to your daughter, and son, and encourage both to be selective, always use a condom, and for your daughter, ask her if she would like to participate in a birth control system that requires her to not miss one day when on oral birth control. But I don't believe sexual activity should become active, without a condom.  NO GLOVE NO LOVE!
