Is it the media responsibility to give us the whole truth or is it on us to do follow up research?? Why??

The media over does everything and covers up things by using different words. for eg; they now refer to global warming to climate change cas it sounds better.

The reason you conduct follow-up research is based on the following reasons:

(1) curiousity;

(2) cross-checking information authenticity.

Indeed, reason (2) always overshadows reason (1) because media organizations have been producing news stories which are consistent to their own stance and interest, but not necessarily be in-line with ultimate truth. Therefore, the news stories you have read are "framed" - to craft out in a preset logic.

Thus, demanding media organizations to report news stories in absolute objectivity is virtually unachievable -
