Is it the neighborhood of Kings’.s College in London safe? Is it safe arrive there 1-ish am?

My friend and I are planing to go to London next month and stay at King's College Hall /Champion Hill. What is the safer transportation to get to this neighborhood at night? Is it safe to walk from Denmark Hill stn to King's Hall around midnight?

I don't think it's a particularly bad neighbourhood, but I would NEVER advise any young person (male or female) to be walking alone late at night ... it's much safer in a group so stick together and look out for each other ... it's a short walk from Denmark Hill station which would be the safest way for you to travel, have a look at this map
