  1. Folding it is neater and shows good manners and consideration for the waitress/waiter.

Can i please have the 10 points , im trying to get to level 4 before im 90 please? lol.....thanks xx

  2. i just s***w mine up and fling it on the plate, so what big deal!!!

  3. not to fold their is absolutely no reason to do so

  4. I would advise not to fold - lazy staff may think it is unused - suggest you leave on the chair as you leave, this way it does not impede the clearing of the table.

  5. I just place it on the table. Fold for what?

  6. i always fold and place on the empty plate dont know if its the right thing just always do that as i feel its good manners and better for the waiting on staff rather than them having to handle them if they are all screwed up on the table

  7. dont fold you dont get paid to fold, i just throw it on the table, i am there to realax not fold napikins.lol

  8. I tend to fold mine, just to keep it from spreading out over everything.  I have Elizabeth Post's book of Etiquette, and it says, if you get up from the table - whether it's temporary or because dinner is over, you "put the napkin on the left side of your place - or, if the plates have been removed, in the center.  It should *not* be folded, nor should it be crumpled up; rather it is laid on the table in loose folds so it does not spread itself out."

  9. If it's linen your manners will tell you what to do.Most use disposable nowadays saves on laundry.

  10. I crumple mine up so they don't use it for someone else!
