If my period is due on the 28th of July, can I get a reliable result from a HPT? If so, which brand is the best to use to get a valid result? Also, Im in Australia so its already the 24th here, meaning my period is 4 days away.

You could take a first response test.. They can tell you 5 days before your missed period

You can take a FirstResponse test, but please remember there is a high chance of a false negative this early. Your hcg levels (the hormone detected by the tests) could be really low now and may not be enough to give a positive. But hcg doubles every 48 hours or so, hence you can wait a couple more days and take a test with first morning urine to be sure.

Ideally, a test should be taken when you are actually late.
