Or do you really believe in Brown and his own personal vision for our country, as I for one DON'T.

  1. You can say it till you are blue in the face, this Govt. wont allow it as they know what the outcome would be.

  2. Mr Brown  he no vision  for Britain ; Sarky Sarcosi is telling us Irish to "eat cake"  Fraternity me a-$-$

  3. There isn't a leader in Europe who'd hold a referendum because the outcome would be a resounding 'No' - Ireland only had one because it's in their constitution that they've got to have one (or something like that)

  4. I believe someone has been given leave to take this matter to the courts to try to force the governent to give Britain a referendum

  5. i certainly think we should have a referendum, but dont think we will get one if gordon brown has his way.

i never voted for brown-- NO  WAY

  6. we have but Herr Brown is not listening.

Lizzie     i didn't elect Brown, not my vote, not ever.

  7. Absolutely, but i think every-one is waiting for everyone else to start the ball rolling. codger.

  8. Yes, I want one on bad spellers posting on Yahoo Answers.  They should have their bottoms spanked and sent to bed with no supper.

  9. You should Gordon is all ears and eyebrows

  10. arrg politicss

i have met gordon brown! and hes a nice guy! lol soo i sayy...

    g brown! is da mannnnnnnnnnn

    hahahhahahhaha

  11. I think its time we stood up and had a referendum on whether or not we should have a referendum....

  12. Only one country was given the right to vote on this issue and they resoundingly voted against it and rightly so.

Ireland, you should be proud that of all the countries in Europe you are the only democracy left.

Time to take to the streets and demand, demand, demand, our right to choose nothing less will do.

  13. There is no one on the 'Planet Westminster' listening.

  14. I agree with Lizzie Bennett and hope that she finds her Mark Darcy. She deserves to because she talks a lot of sense.

  15. Unfortunately there is no one who will organise the public, unless someone sets up a petition or everyone writes to their M.P's saying that if they don't oppose the treaty then they will not vote for them come the next election nothing will be done.

  16. By saying 'NO' all you're doing is saying you're happy with how the EU is currently run and you don't want change. It isn't a referendum on whether we should leave EU or not. I don't understand why people can't understand this simple concept!

  17. A referendum in Britain on the  Europe  Treaty/Constitution is long overdue and Mr Brown knows this, just as he knows it would be rejected by Britain too.

  18. Its been well overdue in my opinion. We should stand up for our rights as a country, kick Brown out along with Labour, dont really trust any MP at the moment, they all seem to be the same... twisted, self-centred, theiving, pompous, brainless bunch of idiots... Yet we let them rob us blind, take away our rights to freedom, let all and sundry into this country.

Brown wont do a thing to help this country, all he is interested in is bleeding it dry, slowly turning it into a 3rd world country... is that what everyone wants? no food, water, fuel, jobs?

If i knew where to start, id start the ball rolling thats for sure. Oh and like Blair, likes to keep Bush happy too. I bet you a pound to a penny that Brown will turn his back on our brave and valiant troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and keep them there for years... costing us not only billions of pounds but the lives of our soldiers who are dying in a battle we cant win.

Im wondering as to why the queen wont do something, she has the power to disolve the govt, she is the 'real' ruler of this country.

We as a country are too laid back for our own good, now the laughing stock of the world, I used to be proud to say im British... now im losing hope... quickly.

  19. No it is not time - we elected MPs to make the decision for us. I severely doubt that most people who want a referendum have actually read th Treaty and this is why I feel Brown has taken the right decision. To be perfectly honest, most people don't care anyway and any referendum would be turned into a vote on the viability of our membership of the EU on the whole which is not being debated.

  20. Referendae can be politicized like anything else so I don't really put much stock in them.  They are democracy in action but thankfully houses of parliament have the final say.

  21. We want a referendum.Again.
