Is it time for the Yankees to bail on Sidney Ponson and call up Ian Kennedy?

I really think they need to call up IPK - even if he struggles, he's still getting practice for next season. Sidney Ponson has been better than expected, but still. I think Rasner should be the guy until Wang comes back.

The Yankees rotation is in shambles and could another pitcher. Wang is out and Hughes was a good filler of the five spot. They don't have a solid pitcher in AAA and Kennedy is still struggling. Igawa is still in the 3.70 ERA in AAA ball. Rasner is their best bet now until they get Kennedy turned around. Don't be surprised to see Kennedy possibly in bullpen after Farnsworth was traded and Bruny is still in his rehab assignment. I would rather have Rasner than Ponson pitching and once the yanks are healthy they will be a tough out.

I think they give Ponson one more start and then call him up if he isn't good tomorrow night. Kennedy reportedly has been hitting 93 mph and throwing his change and curve well, and if he is in fact doing that, with his control of his pitches he could be valuable as a 4th or 5th starter. Rasner is fine as the #5, but the #4 is what they need now with Wang out, and Hughes might be 3 minor league starts away from being game ready, so he's an option too in a few weeks.

Yes. Kennedy should be given the spot. I don't know if he will do any better. I'm not a big fan of Kennedy's since he said he felt every pitch in NY is examined so much. If he feels he can't make it in NY then let the management know so they can trade him.

Ponson cannot pitch in big games. Watch him blow it vs the Angels.

I think Sidney was washed up 2 years ago and couldn't believe that they signed and used him.  Bring up anybody and give them a chance and it wouldn't be any worse.

i dont like rasner i think sidney ponson should stay and put rasner down to miner league
