Question:

Is it time that we finally end our unjustified support of Israel?

This has been the worst foreign policy mistake that we have ever made. Our support cannot be justified on the grounds that Israel is an extension of the US. It is not, and we recieve no taxes from it, and cannot treat it like our 51st state. It is not a democracy in that their are citizens who cannot vote because they are not Jewish. It has brutally occupied the West Bank and Gaza, has engaged in a slow motion ethnic cleasing, has destroyed occupied property, and has violated more UN resolutions, beginning with the one that created it, than countries we have invaded on the pre-text of them having violated far fewer UN resolutions - and the breach of which did not also constitute violations of the Geneva Convention. It's time to wake up to the fact that we cannot at the same time maintain both our double standard in how we treat Israel versus the rest of world and also maintain our standing in the world when the acts that they engage in are atrocious, provocative, and racist.

  1. I agree with you totally, but your marvelous question is going to get reported by some arrogant person.

    Cheers!

  2. Well if you manage to stop the jews from running the US, the problem will be solved.

  3. "This has been the worst foreign policy mistake that we have ever made."

    - I disagree. There have been MANY other examples!

"...and has violated more UN resolutions..."

    - Your allegation is based on what information? Compared to American Administrations???

"...maintain our standing in the world"

    - What standing would this be? The American version??? The rest of the world knows better!

"...when the acts that they engage in are atrocious, provocative, and racist."

    - Oh really? Research American history!

"Let they that have not sinned cast the first stone"

  4. Wow, You've bought the hezbollah propaganda completely.  I congratulate you.

Israel is the only democracy in the middle east.  They are a large trading partner of ours, and if nothing else, they have a right to what is historically their land.

  5. It is long past time.  Anyone who disagrees with our policy towards Israel is branded anti-Semitic.  It doesn't matter that it isn't true.  That is why our politicians are afraid to stand up and speak out.  That same type of name calling and fear is what got us into Iraq.

  6. Its the tail that wags the dog

American has no option, the people who run George Bush make it so

  7. Our government receives its personnel from the election process. Once in office, the government officials are free to turn their attention to the lobbyists. Former Premier Putin pointed out in an interview that his country would like the same rights as Israel to establish a lobby office in Washington, DC. Russia has oil reserves they would like to discuss.

  8. Israel is our only true ally in the middle east. Non jewish citizens can vote. Israel has been under attack from the Palestinian areas for decades (lets see you not react harshly when buses are blown up outside your favorite coffee shop). They are not mass murdering Palestinians, and go through great lengths not to harm civilians (to the point of putting their own troops in danger). Lets not forget, the Palestinians attacked first (Munich) and have been waging a war of terror ever since.
