Is it time to ask my doctor to switch my BC?

I've been on Junel for 3ish months. Ever since that first pill my b***s have hurt 24/7. Being a 38D doesn't help either. I have to sleep with a bra on so they don't hurt from sliding/sagging when I lay down. Just a simple poke hurts. Hugging someone hurts. It's stupid. I had acne also when I first started but it's starting to get better. I had no acne for 1+ year before starting the pill. I was thinking about Yaz or Femcon (I can't swallow pills and currently chew my pills, yuck - YES IT'S OKAY TO CHEW THEM.) Should I ask my doctor to switch or wait a bit longer?

  1. I would ask to switch. Their is so may different types out their why not try another one. You might not even have to go to the doctor just call and see if he can call in a new prescription.

  2. I would ask to switch now. They say to give it about 3 months anyways.

  3. go now!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I'm on Femcom and they're pretty good... the down side is that a lot of insurances don't cover this one.. it's not a "prefered brand" so you might pay a bit more for it.

I would go ahead and talk to your doc about it... you also have to think... there are a lot of hormones in the pills and that's probably why your b***s hurt... maybe your body is taking awhile to get used to the new hormones. Talk to your doc. about it though... just so you know... when you switch... you'll be taking new hormones and you might go "crazy" haha, I remember when I switched I would go through CRAZY moodswings!

    Good luck!
