Is it time to drop Slowey and pick up someone like Josh Johnson?

Is it time to drop Slowey and pick up someone like Josh Johnson in his place or still too early to count on Johnson with him barely coming back from TJ. Also is it also time to get Chris Carpenter?

When you have a 23 year old pitcher, expect some bumps in the road. Slowey will give you some good starts and some bad, he's just going to be inconsistent. As far as Johnson goes, I would keep an eye on him. He came back from Tommy John surgery in just 11 months. He seems ok, so if his next start is decent, I would drop Slowey for him.

I actually dropped Slowey and picked up Carpenter last night

Slowey’s last 2 starts have been awful, so Josh Johnson might be a good pickup, give them both one more start to be sure. Chris Carpenter…Well u should wait til late July to see if he is getting any set backs on his rehab.
