Is it time to finally give the Rays the credit they deserve & congratulate them??

I'll be the 1st to admit that i was one of those fans that always felt from the get go that their luck wouldn't last long & they would eventually collapse. Now with the season almost over & with the Rays having over 80 wins it's time to finally give them their due. A job well done for the Rays on having a successful season & I'm happy for their fans(The real ones who where there for them from the beginning & their rough times not the bandwagon ones)

At the start of the season, I had HOPED for a 500 season.  This is like Christmas, Birthday, 4th of July, s*x and a big tax return all rolled into one.

I appreciate the sentiment but now I'm getting a little greedy, I smell play-offs.

What credit do they deserve?They have yet to win their division,a playoff game or the World Series.When they win those things they'll be deserving of credit as a success.Until then they are the Cubs with less history.

Exciting to see their success this year? Yes.

Biggest surprise? Yes, Twins a close second.

Do they have a shot at winning it all? Absolutely

Will they win the AL East? Probably

Give them congratulations? NO, not until they actually win something.

You guys have a good team. Sit back and enjoy the ride if you're a Rays fan. Your team is worthy and you really shouldn't need approval from the YA crowd to be proud of your team.

I believe so. And yes over half of their fans are bandwagoners. However to the ones that have been with them since '98, congrats for sticking with your team.

What do you mean, 'finally', white cat. Even if they crashed and burned now and didn't make the playoffs, they have already astounded, surprised, and nonplussed all of the baseball world. I figured they were danged awful good by the 1st of June. Never saw this group coming!

No they don't deserve any credit or congrats until they win the World Series because that's the only way this season will be a success for them, if they don't win the World Series there whole season will have been for nothing.
