Is it to early to get a positive blood test a week before your expected AF?

  1. You need to wait. Usually they won't do blood tests until you actually miss your period.  


  2. More than likely it will be too soon. At this point there's a chance the egg has not even implanted itself onto the uterus.

  3. To save yourself from getting a false negative if you are pregnant - wait a while. I would recommend you hold out until at LEAST 5 days before your period is due [another 2 days]. The longer you wait, the more chance you have of having a clear and true reading. Even early response brands sometimes don't give the right result at 5 days, although some women get lucky.
