I'm 14 years old and i am very interested in being in the olympics. At first i didn't know whether to do cycling, gymnastics, rowing or boxing.

So I googled cycling in Winsford (my town), Gymnastics etc.And i found that there was a boxing club. So i went to my first session yesterday, really enjoyed it and am planning on going every monday wednesday and friday (only days it is open to under 16's). Each session is on for one hour and a half and they train you really hard, and they are qualified coaches. I was sweating buckets and today my knuckles are aching and my arms and a bit in my neck. Do you think I can get good enough for 2012 in time if I stick to it and work hard.

  1. No, I don't think you can do that.

I mean, you can always try, but most Olympic athletes (about 99.9999% of them) start training around the age of 5 or something, and it's not usually just three days for an hour and a half. It's more like 7 days for 8 hours at your age. So I'm hoping you make it, but the odds are waaaay stacked against you.

  2. Well, you are just like me because I'm 14 now and i want to be in the olympics in 2012 as well!

Ive want to 100m distance track event, some people have said to train hard and get a coach, but others said 18 is to young.

Well I think that if Tom Daley and Rebbecca Adlington can do it than so can we.

    Good Luck For 2012
